STOCK MARKET CLOSING TODAY: 15TH MAY 2012

BSE SENSEX and NIFTY ended in green after making loss in five consecutive sessions. The bear rally came to a pause as European markets and rupee stabilized. Rupee recovered sharply after hitting an intraday high of 54.15 initially, ended at 53.73 against the DOLLAR appreciated by 23 paise. SENSEX shed its losses by 0.69 percent on today’s session after losing 700 points in previous 5 sessions or 4 percent. Banking and IT stocks led the up moves as ICICIBANK, SBIN and L&T, INFOSYS ended in gains while MARUTI and ITC CIGARETTES dragged the market down.
